Chocolate Martini Body Scrub Is Easy To Make

by Alli

Do you love body scrubs as much as I do?  Homemade Chocolate Martini Body Scrub is one of my favorites!

Recently, I made 50 of these to give as favors at a ladies-only party. I received several comments on how awesome this scrub is! Well, thank you very much!

This body scrub is all-natural and contains no additives or chemicals. Chocolate Body Scrub would make a great last-minute Christmas gift! And it’s oh, so easy to make.

What Is A Body Scrub?

A body scrub is also called body polish or body gloss. A body scrub exfoliates your skin and leaves it smooth and moisturized. It also removes dead skin cells and increases the body’s blood circulation.

I use body scrubs year-round, especially on my arms and legs. It feels so good!

Why Use a Body Scrub?

I love the way my skin feels after using a body scrub. My skin is soft and feels rejuvenated. And did I say soft? As a person with dry skin, I always have a good body scrub on hand. There’s no reason to buy a scrub when it’s so easy to make one.

If you use self-tanner you need to use a body scrub before applying the self-tanner. Using a body scrub helps remove dead skin cells and the self-tanner glides on even and you won’t have blotches.

How often should I Use a Body Scrub?

You should use a body scrub no more than 3-4 times a week. Work in a circular motion to massage the body scrub onto your skin.

How Do I Use a Body Scrub?

You can use a body scrub in the bath or shower. When I’m using a body scrub, it’s the last thing I do before I get out of the shower. It’s best to have clean skin before applying.

Make sure your body is thoroughly wet and softened with warm water. That’s why I use it at the end of my shower. Apply the scrub with your hands and work in a circular motion. Rinse well and use a good moisturizer after drying off.

Scoop of DIY Chocolate Martini Scrub

It’s ridiculously easy to make a body scrub and a Chocolate Martini Body Scrub is my favorite. You’ll need Epsom salt, turbinado sugar, canola or almond oil, and cocoa powder. That’s it.

You can find the turbinado sugar next to the regular sugar at your local grocery store. Turbinado sugar is less processed than regular sugar and has larger crystals (perfect for making a body scrub).

Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl. Chocolate Martini Body Scrub will last indefinitely as long as you keep it in an air-tight container with a lid. I always make sure I keep water out of it while I’m showering and I use plastic containers.
